ESCUTA!

podcast

On the 30th anniversary of the Association Sons da Lusofonia, we are launching the podcast ESCUTA! dedicated to listening to the city and its various communities.

In each episode, we address a theme of broad interest to the artistic and socio-cultural sector, featuring testimonies from guests in fields ranging from culture to thought. With our ears open to the world, we aim to broaden the debate on urban life, sonic environments, inclusion, community, creativity, innovation, and citizenship.

This podcast seeks to listen to people, stories, rhythms, sounds, and themes that contribute to diversifying and enriching the debate on public space and the right to the city.

FIRST EPISODE

As Paredes Têm Ouvidos (The Walls Have Ears)

In this premiere episode, we reflect on the impact of sound in Lisbon. We want to understand how sonic environments influence relationships between people, taking into account mental health and well-being. We discuss the urban actions that shape the city, believing that active listening is a form of empathy with the world and with others, fostering a slowing down of consumerist vertigo.
