SOMDA
On its thirtieth anniversary, the Associação Sons da Lusofonia (ASL) extends its programming to regular multidisciplinary initiatives, around Listening, Inclusion and Emerging Art. Somda is ASL's new cultural program residency at Casa do Comum in Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, which includes interdisciplinary events like meetings, listening sessions, debates, workshops, shows, project presentations and other actions. Each quarter, a guiding theme leads the events on issues common to the artistic sector, through the exaltation of the “auditory being” and the impact of sound and music on people's well-being. Each session will have a range of guests from cultural, community or thought backgrounds. Based on different presentation and sharing formats, ASL expands the scope of its programming, taking into account different arts and geoculturalities, creating bridges between artistic, social and institutional activities.
