Fora do Centro is a new web series of live concerts by Associação Sons da Lusofonia (ASL), dedicated to promote the work of emerging artists and musical projects from the city of Lisbon, showcasing its musical and geographical diversity.
With the first season of nine episodes aired in April 2025, ASL aims to boost both local and diaspora-based musical artists and projects in the city. The program will introduce new audiences to a representative sample of the sonic creativity that defines today’s Lisbon.
In each episode, a musical project is challenged to perform three original and unreleased tracks, which will be recorded in both video and audio by a professional team, which includes director João Pedro Moreira (Branko, Rui Reininho, Buraka Som Sistema, etc.) and sound engineer Marco Silva (Lina - Fado Camões, Albaluna, Carlos Bica, etc.), recorded in various settings at the Casa do Comum in Bairro Alto, Lisbon.
Throughout the year, ASL will provide to each artist the distribution of the recorded music across digital platforms and dedicated PR in partnership with BANTUMEN and other entities. This initiative is aimed at artists who don’t have access to these resources, channels, and audiences, in an opportunity to boost the recognition of their music.
