Ongoing socio-cultural project directed towards social inclusion using improvisation to encourage active citizenship in local communities.
Jazzopa is one of the most recent projects by ASL. Six young jazz musicians from the University Lusíada in Lisbon and 2 MCs from the OPA project got together to re-invent jazz and hip hop together by mixing it up and working on the respective interfaces and common grounds.

In all of it's activities, Associação Sons da Lusofonia puts emphasis on interaction between communities, people and the arts, by encouraging mutual knowledge exchange, experimentation and collective creation.

Over many years, ASL has defined it's purpose in putting it's creative work in context of social inclusion and developing cross-disciplinary projects that tackle inequalities.
