Construtores do Mundo (engl. constructors of the world) has been the title of a conference cycle in 2012, organized by the Association Sons da Lusofonia with the support of EPUL – Empresa Pública de Urbanização de Lisboa.

It presented lectures by some of the most important “constructors” in Portugal – the architect Siza Viera, the engineer Segadães Tavares, the M.D. Sobrinho Simões and the philosopher Eduardo Lourenço, that have been invited to talk about their perspective and way of constructing the world.

Carlos Martins has been the artistic director of this conference and he asked the speakers to assemble their personal playlists to publish them in vinyl. The result is this edition of 4 playlists, one for each season of the year. Each vinyl features a cover that has been chosen by the respective “constructor”, a synopsis of his conference speech (or another text by his choice) and the playlist with selected songs that he likes to listen to and that have had an impact on his live.
